A Sudanese man has been forced to take a goat as his “wife”, after he was caught having sex with the animal.
The goat’s owner, Mr Alifi, said he surprised the man with his goat and took him to a council of elders, They ordered the man, Mr Tombe, to pay a dowry of 15,000 Sudanese dinars ($50) to Mr Alifi.”We have given him the goat, and as far as we know they are still together,” Mr Alifi said.Mr Alifi, Hai Malakal in Upper Nile State, told the Juba Post newspaper that he heard a loud noise around midnight on 13 February and immediately rushed outside to find Mr Tombe with his goat.
“When I asked him: ‘What are you doing there?’, he fell off the back of the goat, so I captured and tied him up”.
Mr Alifi then called elders to decide how to deal with the case.
“They said I should not take him to the police, but rather let him pay a dowry for my goat because he used it as his wife,” Mr Alifi told the newspaper.
What a world we live in eh? On another note though, do you suppose animals can imagine? i mean i know some animals are capable of basic thought and calculation but are they capable of imagination? :)

I’ve had a few people now tell me how clever I am. It makes no sense, because I’m really not that clever. I don’t know if they’re saying it just to make me feel good about myself, or if they really just assume that I’m clever for no reason whatsoever, i’m not saying i’m not clever at all, i guess i just catch on things quickly and i come to realize the obvious in problems fast, but does that make me clever?
Does that ever happen to you? Do people think you’re soooo cute, but you just don’t see it? Ever had someone tell you how deep you were, when you’re just joking around? :o
I don’t want people to get down on themselves here, but really, do people give you more credit than you deserve?

This is a thought that just crossed my mind, do we take our parents for granted? do we communicate with our parents especialy the Father, do we really show them the attention they deserve? most of us value their friends and friendship, most of us often call our friends and talk to them about various things and stuff that happened to us druing the day and open up to them in a way we do not with our parents, why is that? is it our middle eastern mentality? the western world doesn’t seem to have this issue, and the most important thing, we tell our friends how much they mean to us all the time, but ask yourself, when was the last time you told your parents you loved them? Meditate on this.
One of the most important things and indeed one of the basic skills one should be familiar with is how to recognize a stroke, it could be crucial for saving lifes, since the signs of having a stroke arn’t always as vigorous and visible as you might think, infact they can bd e quite subtle and sudden and can take us by surprise, so i will tell you how you can identify a stroke through this short story;
During a BBQ, a lady stumbled and took a little fall. She assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) and just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes. They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. While she appeared a bit shaken up, she went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening. Her husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital. At 6:00 PM, she passed away.
She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke perhaps she would be with us today.

Recognizing a Stroke:
A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke…totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and getting to the patient within 3 hours, which is tough. Sometimes the symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms.
RECOGNIZING A STROKE:
Just remember the “3″ steps. Read and Learn!
Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:
1. Ask the individual to SMILE.
2. Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.
3. Ask the person to SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently) (e.g.. “It is sunny out today”).
If he or she has trouble with any of these tasks, call 9-1-1 immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.
After discovering that a group of non-medical volunteers could identify facial weakness, arm weakness and speech problems, researchers urged the general public to learn the three questions. They presented their conclusions at the American Stroke Association’s annual meeting last February. Widespread use of this test could result in prompt diagnosis and treatment of the stroke and prevent brain damage.
