Bush to receive first-ever International Medal of Peace.

Imagine that, George W. Bush to receive a PEACE prize! Apparently, if its “for his contribution to the fight against HIV/AIDS and other diseases”. The Huffington Post reports:

To mark World AIDS Day, Saddelback Pastor Rick Warren is hosting a Civil Forum on Global Health at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. Warren will present President Bush with the first “International Medal of PEACE” from the Global PEACE Coalition in recognition of his unprecedented contribution to the fight against HIV/AIDS and other diseases. The “International Medal of PEACE” is given for outstanding contribution toward alleviating the five global giants recognized by the Coalition, including pandemic diseases, extreme poverty, illiteracy, self-centered leadership and spiritual emptiness. The Bush administration reports that its AIDS initiative helped treat two million people living with HIV/AIDS.”

Yes, lets make up an award and give it a “peaciness” name and give it to the president with the lowest approval rating in American history, who made a whole mess of the American economy, and invaded a sovereign country sent it back to the stone ages.

Or maybe by PEACE They mean “Promoting Error ,Averice, and Conflict Everywhere”
Bush would deserve this award, in that case.

Wow, that’s ironic! Maybe that was the intent? A satirical award to the worst war-monger in recent memory?

I think, it’s a case of being in the wrong place and at the wrong time for ex-President Bush. No one would want to be in his shoes when he was on the middle of the sea and the devil, so to speak. He knew beforehand that he would be deemed as the worst president in the American history but he had no choice but to do what has to be done so… instead of blaming him for all the problems that America has right now, why don’t we do what has to be done to get our butts out of economic crisis? Thank you for letting me share my thoughts.

That’s absolutely absurd! That’s like giving a mass murderer on death row a noble peace price for progression of mankind. This is simply absurd!

Global PEACE Coalition, never heard of them. I’ve only been news blogging for a few months on my only site, http://unitedstatesvicepresident.com . I think my site will give out a new award. For the president who most ruined his country in four years.

haha, I guess they just feels that he needs some kind of consolation price for getting the the last spot in the “Best President Ever” contest. :)

Please don’t judge a person out rightly. Let history speak. He deserves some degree of respect too. At least a medal for now will made him think of his policies.

I think Bush passed the criteria given by Global PEACE Coalition that’s why he had the First International Medal of Peace. Maybe he messed up with the other programs he made in the US but he really contributed a lot to the global program to fight HIV/AIDS and other diseases.

Did he get it? It’s strange that there is not a lot of fuzz about him receiving this ridiculous award.
