At Least Johny Depp and Sweeney Todd Didn’t Win An Oscar, Which is Good.

First of all, If you haven’t heard yet, No Country for Old Men Got the Oscar for Best Motion Picture, Daniel Day-Lewis won for Best Actor (There Will Be Blood), Ethan Coen For Best Director (No Country for Old Men) and Marion Cotillard won for Best Actress (La Môme). Now, I say, Good choices. although I would have loved to see Ellen Page win for Juno, but alas. Anyways, It is good that Johny Depp did not win nor did Sweeney Todd. I mean, I like JD, Who doesn’t! everybody likes him, but seriously, an Oscar for Sweeney Todd? That would have been just silly, and stupid. I’m sure the movie was good, and JD gave a great performance, but let us be reasonable here, Was it really that mind blowing? lets not forget also that it’s a musical, which generally lessens that dramatical value of a performance. I mean, This is exactly why other film festivals have a separate category for musicals and comedies.

Well, me too! I think he is an American Azzouz..! He just can’t step off his typical roles and performance.. this has become dull.. I really think that Oscar should be an award of cultural achievement that has to be reflected on the choice of the nominees, which I find hard to satisfy, Juno for instance and Sweany Todd.. what they teach or represent>>! i have ever hated the Oscars awards for the BAD and sympathy oriented choices cadidates.

I think Daniel day lewis deserved the recognition, he is a good actor especially in this movie.. You’re right sweeney todd is not bad but I don’t like too much music..I liked him a lot in his movie “The secret window”
For Marion Cotillard, she won for “La vie en rose”..

fuck you all ….almost all of you didnt saw the incrediable movie. daniel is amazing but jd???? what can i say your replays make me cry :dizzy: :dizzy: :dizzy: acting with singing is the most hard performance ive ever seen… he deservs 5 oscars one for the movie and four for being the hottest ever.. and who says feminin? are you kidding me ? :angry: are we talk about the same man here? i dont tink so :alien:
