~ How creativity is being strangled by the law.
In the following video, Larry Lessig, the Net’s most adored lawyer, brings together John Philip Sousa, celestial copyrights, and the “ASCAP cartel” to build a case for creative freedom. He pins down the key shortcomings of dusty, pre-digital intellectual property laws, and reveals how bad laws beget bad code. Then, in an homage to cutting-edge artistry, he throws in some of the most hilarious remixes you’ve ever seen.

The analogy of RW and RO is a little broken, he exploits the great work of other people to embellish his own presentation without crediting them, he plays on the emotions of the audience and their love for their children.
Still, this is one of the most elegant ways I’ve seen this argument made in a very long while.
Thank you Bakez,

Chika: yes, yes he is
Sari: Well, I wouldn’t call it exploitation, rather utilization, and I thought he mixed emotion with reason rather well.
Maher: True, and as he demonstrated sometimes common sense stares us right in the face but somehow are are blind, or we choose to ignore it, strange but true :)
