~ I DoFollow.
It is my intention to make this blog as comment friendly as possible, and to further this aim of having a blog where the reader notices how much I appreciate their input I have decided to remove the “nofollow” that is automatically added to posts by WordPress. If you are unfamiliar this is a property that is added to a link that tells a search engine not to give any credence to the links within. This is supposedly to combat more spam and I feel that it is cheating the system. There are many different people who have done research saying that these links are still taken into account and the amount of spam since this has been implemented has only increased.
I feel that this means that sites that should be recognized because of their quality are not being indexed and spammers are being rewarded. If you have a comment on my blog - any links will be picked up by searches and recognized accordingly.

Thank you and happy blogging

Its a nice concept, but it also leads to increased ’spam’ with comments like ‘Good Job’ or ‘Nice blog’ that are not actually relevant to the post, but are just there because the poster saw a ‘DoFollow’ badge on the blog and wanted a backlink.
I suppose you could call this a double edged sword, it’d definitely get your more comments, but also increase your moderation work.

Yes, the quality of the posts will be minimum so in a single word = spam. So I think the ideea it’s good but not applicable.

Mark: No, What “No Follow” Means is that when you leave a comment on a blog, a no follow tag is automatically attached to the URL of the comment owner’s website so that search bots cannot index ii (follow it). I do follw means that i have removed this “no follow” tag and now all URL’s of the comments authors will be indexed and followed by search engines

DoFollow means that search engines take links back as a vote. NoFollow is the oposite. Basically. :)

Well, it’s the opposite in the sense that if your page isn’t already indexed by Google, then it now will be when NOFOLLOW isn’t there.
When NOFOLLOW is there, aparently no ‘vote’ is cast, but if the page isn’t in the index, it still allows that page to now be indexed when a bot follows it.
Source the internet and you’ll find the majority of people believe it to be correct.
