~ Two clicks for AdSense?
I came upon this article that talked about a set of changes thats rumored Google is going to implement, like PageRank being reset to zero and replaced with another system and rel=”nofollow” replaced by rel=”dofollow”, but what most interested me was the two clicks for Adsense one, it states:
“With the increase of click fraud and invalid, unintentional clicks, Google are bringing in a system designed to prevent someone clicking on an advert unless they actually want to. The system they are implementing will mean when someone clicks on your AdSense ads a box will appear telling them that the link they just clicked is a PPC advert and it will ask them if they want to visit the sponsored link. if they click “yes” you get paid, If they click “No” you don’t get paid. It is speculated that this will reduce all AdSense earnings by 75% across the board but will increase the CPC.”
Now, if Google does implement this, i think it would mean disaster for sites that generate little money through Adsense, it will make the process of clicking the Ad links annoying, and the whole process would eventually render Google Adsense for these low traffic sites useless, even if the CPC increased, it most certainly will not increase in a dramatic way that will compensate for the estimated 75% drop in earnings.
I personally hope this does not see the light of day since other Ad alternatives for Adsense pale in comparison in terms of performance.

Qwaider: as far as Adsense goes, Google doesn’t really care about the small time publishers, their main target is Advertisers. so yeah, Their not entirely “no evil”, if at all.

I’m not sure how other people surf, but I’ve never clicked on an adsense advert anyway.
Its not reaalistic to think of any for profit corporation as benevolent.
Having said that, as long as Google sticks to text ads, they’re ok in my book.
Besides a misleading link is a form of spam, so while eliminating it may be bad for sites that make money of the ads, but good for both the surfers and the advertisers.

I think people have stopped clicking ads time ago, when blogs became popular and everyone started to try and earn from them using Adsense.
I think the best way to make money off a blog is either by selling private ads, affiliate programs or sponsored posts.

Well, think of it like this, if you pay money for 1000 clicks on google (adwards i think the name was) this will really really and I mean really improve the kind of visitors that you want to reach you site.
which makes the adwards system alot more accurate and cheaper to get the real no. of visitors that you are after for a fraction of the price you paid before.
but when it comes to (adsence i think the name is, don’t know why they use such names, but anyway) many people are ready to put their ads on their sites and probably for even a fraction of what they are paying at the moment.
plus google always tries to limit and make it harder to get money out of them, on one of my sites i hade the ads for a period of time, i got like 16 USD but never took them because you need at least a 100 $ to take the money.
switch to yahoo ads system like Roba

do you know any other pay per click advertising other than google and Yahoo. I am from the philippines.
