Mylivesearch, The world’s first live search engine will be launching its much awaited public beta on Wednesday 29th August 2007.

The results you see on a Google search are simply a list of pre-indexed sites that may have been crawled by Google 2 hours to 2 weeks prior to your search. The Live search does not work in this way; instead, keywords are searched in ‘real-time’ (as you wait?) to deliver the absolute latest content possible on the Web.

MyLiveSearch’s technology has been in development for the past 8 years from an Australian-based team headed by the self-taught software developer, Rob Gabriel, he claims his search engine gives better and more relevant search results than Google for the simple fact that it’s a ‘live’ search.

Gabriel’s new search engine works by use of a browser plug-in, which some may argue to be a much greater hassle than simply using a web-based search. The search terms used on MyLiveSearch are initially put through Google and other indexed search databases.

Gabriel claims your results will come back in seconds, and boasts them to be richer and more detailed than an index-based search such as Google, Yahoo, or Ask.

“I would have hoped to release the beta release earlier,” he stated, “but strongly believe that continued development has now made Mylivesearch even more advanced [than] ever before.”

Could this be the next big thing and a Google competitor to be reckoned with? We shall have to wait and see.
