From our good buddies at Gizmodo, Here is a list of things the iPhone does not have:
• No Songs as Ringtones
• No Games
• No flash support
• No Instant Messaging
• No Picture messages (MMS)
• No Video recording
• No Voice recognition or voice dialing
• No Wireless Bluetooth Stereo Streaming (A2DP)
• No One-size-fits-all headset jack (May have to buy an adapter for certain headphones)
Stuff we already knew it didn’t have
• No 3G (EV-DO/HSDPA)
• No GPS
• No real keyboard
• No Removable battery
• No Expandable Storage
• No Direct iTunes Music Store Access (Over Wi-Fi or EDGE)

Hold on, No games, no expandable storage, no removable battery, no instant messaging, no MMS, no songs as ringtones? What the heck! Hell, my 2 year old Nokia 3230 has all that! So, basically, the iPhone is just an over priced phone with a fancy user interface. and you know what, even that is overrated, sure a touch screen is all cool until you actually start to use it, with your fingers which would mean getting it all smudgy and dirty over time, and then you’d have to clean it, only to get it smudgy and dirty once again.. etc.. etc..
iPhone? No thanks, i’ll stick to my good old trusty Nokia, thank you very much. Not that i will be able to get an iPhone even IF i wanted to, since it won’t be available in the middle east for another 2 years if not more.

Wouldn’t it be better to wait until you’ve actually tried it to conclude “it’s crap”. I’ve not tried it, and I agree some of the things you list would be nice to have in the iPhone. But simple fact is it can’t be everything. Compromises have to be made, and they’re made with the intended user and uses in mind, I would think.

i think the iphone is just an ipod touch which costs £199 and a phone with internet like a samsung E900 which costs £100 which all equals £300. The iphone costs around £500. Apple are trying to rip us off by at least £200. I think everyone just wants the iphone as a fashion thing because apple is so popular. i wouldnt mind having one as a present but buying it …. NO WAY!!

I’ve bought an iPhone and can officially say it’s crap. Please take this warning. It’s really crap. Looks good at the start and then you realise it’s really a fancy screen with no functionality! You can’t even send a number from ya phone to another phone on ya contact list. Plus the battery goes after less than a day! and soooner if you, have the ordacidy, to make a phone call! Please someone take it off me!

I have the iphone and every one that says its crap is 100percent right. It does not even do the basics that the old phones did I personaly think that apple and 02 should give a refund if the costomer is really not happy. Even give a refund if they are as it ain’t worth what they have charged. Total rip off like never before.

OMG, yes it does have bluetooth and yes it does have

well i would be pissed if i didnt have 7 days still to return it…:).all i wanted was a phone i could download a file to and transfer to another PC……great that i can see the pdf…but i cant save it? cant transfer it?….you mean alkl i can do is copy songs and video to the phone? and i always hated itunes…as a player..and yes smudgy face..scrathy scratch…and the extra fm tuner for the car i bought? garbage reception ..more crap…haha my long awaited foray into the “mac/apple” store died here…..as i always knew..overpriced and oh so average.
sad that this is how average they think we all are.whats the harm in letting us download to it? do they think that folks dont know how to add tunes to itunes?hehee

Worst service ever. Phone had a display problem. took it to the Apple store, and had a replacement phone given. Replacement would not work. Sent it to factory and got a letter back saying tough luck, you got it wet and you now have a phone that does not work, and we are keeping your money. Keep in mind, this is the phone they gave me, and it was never exposed to any moisture. I will never buy any Apple product again. The company does not back their product up.
