~ bakkouz through the years.

December 2001, Version 1: The Begining, bakkouz.com was born, very basic interface, just an email login form and a photo of a girl i used to call my girlfriend ![]()

June 2002, Version 2: A more image intensive interface, dark and ugly, the theme was, Photoshop like interface? who knows what i was thinking back then

June 2003, Version 3: Since i had nothing of importance and since there was hardly any traffic on my website i thought what the hell, i’ll just use it as a link holder for my emails, also 2003 marked the transition from bakkouz.com to bakkouz.net

June 2004, Version 4: A more artsy look, nothing fancy, i know, but i just got fed up with the very minimalistic design.

January 2006, Version 5: The birth of the blog, during 2005 bakkouz.net was pretty much resting in peace, aka dead! so one day Jad suggested that i put my website into some use and turn it into a blog, and so i did.

March 2006, Version 6.0: Time for a major redesign, the last layout was customized by me, it was my first attempt at modifying a Wordpress theme, and even though it worked, i wasn’t quite happy with the looks, so pulled i up my sleeves and this version was born, which would then go on to win toot’s blog design contest, notice the size of my big head

July 2006, Version 6.1: The two column theme just wasn’t cutting it for me, i needed to expand, so a slight adjustment was in order, a three column theme was born and the head shrank accordingly to make space for extra content

January 2007, Version 6.2, Current: A change of color, I love red, but it just too overwhelming and i decided to tone it down a bit, so i went for a darker maroon and orange, the flashy header image was gone and my head tilted a bit, i guess i’m drunk or something? who knows!

And thats it ladies and gentlemen, a review on bakkouz.net from 2001 to 2007, I personaly like Version 6.1 the most, but i’m perfectly happy with my current layout, its calm and simple and has all the funcionality i need, and we’ll see what the future brings

Yeah, I’m another vote for 6.1. The new one is nice, but… somehow it loses some of its Bakkouzishness, KWIM? But, it’s all good.

I miss the red too, but I’m all for innovation to match the mood! Wow, that first step from light to dark must’ve meant a bad break-up…

Just a suggestion, but could you re-integrate the picture of the girl that you used to call your girlfriend back into the site?

So you lost the girlfriend once you decided to go online? what a pity!

So it seems that the lost of your claimed ‘girlfriend’ brought you up to this.. blogging theme changing.. is it why you obtained this pseudo-look?

Hey there! Nice blog, I stumbled upon it after my friend told to to check out one of your posts. Btw, what wp template theme are you using?
